ABOUT MAMEYA
Odagaki Shoten's buildings, constructed over a period spanning from the late Edo period (1603–1868) to the early Taisho era (1912–1926) and recognized as Tangible Cultural Properties, were renovated under the direction of the Shinsozai Kenkyujo, or the New Material Research Laboratory. From this project, "Mameya" was born as a single hotel. The lounge preserves the original architectural design, thoughtfully reimagined with a modern sensibility. "Brush Impression 0905," a striking calligraphy of the character "Moon" by Hiroshi Sugimoto, created with fixing solution on photographic paper, gently adorns the living room. In the bedroom, custom-patterned karakami paper sliding doors (fusuma) harmonize beautifully with the room’s ethereal light. From the window, you can enjoy a stunning daytime view of tiled-roof houses designated Cultural Heritage, and by night, a mystical stone garden bathed in wonderous illuminations. We invite you to enjoy a soothing stay with us.

ROOMS
The accommodation is a private villa, available exclusively for one group per night. Adjacent to Cultural Heritage-designated tearoom and stage, the villa features a lounge, living room, and bedroom. We invite you to enjoy a soothing stay with us.

PLANS and OPTIONS
We offer a variety of plans, from a simple stay to options including two meals, to accommodate the various needs of our guests. You can choose the plan that best suits your travelling schedule.
Additionally, Mameya offers optional plans with activities that allow guests to experience the culture of Tambasa-Sayama through all five senses. We hope our guests fully immerse themselves in Tamba-Sasayama's culture and carry the mame lifestyle with them, cherishing the memories of their trip even after they return home.

EVENTS and ACTIVITIES
In Tamba-Sasayama, where Mameya is located, seasonal events are held throughout the year. Guests are invited to experience traditional festivities typical for each season, such as Noh performances held on January 1st and in April, and the Dekansho Festival in August.

SHOP and CAFÉ
The premises of the villa also feature a shop and café. In the café’s serene atmosphere, guests can enjoy dishes made with seasonal ingredients unique to Tamba-Sasayama, along with original sweets crafted from black soybeans. The shop offers a selection of Odagaki Shoten’s signature products, including carefully selected beans, black soybeans, Dainagon azuki beans, and Tamba chestnuts.
